Getting Started with Trezor Suite®

Welcome to the Official Site® guide for Trezor Suite®. This page walks you through the essential first steps — from connecting your device to securing your recovery seed — so you can manage cryptocurrencies safely.

Before you begin

Make sure you have a supported Trezor hardware wallet and a computer with an up-to-date browser. For maximum safety, only download Trezor Suite® from the Official Site® or use the verified desktop application.

Tip: Keep your recovery seed and device in separate secure locations. Never share your seed with anyone or enter it into a website.

Step 1 — Install Trezor Suite®

  1. Download the desktop app or open the web version from the Official Site®.
  2. Install and launch the application. On first run, you may be prompted to allow firmware checks and updates — allow these to ensure the device runs trusted code.

Step 2 — Connect your Trezor

  1. Use the provided USB cable to connect your Trezor hardware wallet to your computer.
  2. Follow on-screen instructions in Trezor Suite® to initialize the device.

Important: If your device shows a PIN prompt but you didn’t set it, disconnect and restart the setup. Always verify the device screen and connect only to the Official Site® interface.

Step 3 — Create a new wallet

Choose “Create new wallet” in Trezor Suite®. The Suite will generate a recovery seed (24 words by default). Write these words down in order on a recovery card — do not photograph, screenshot, or store them digitally.

  1. Write each recovery word carefully and verify order.
  2. Confirm the first and last words when prompted by the device.

Step 4 — Secure your device

Set a strong PIN and enable optional features like passphrase support and firmware auto-updates. Consider an additional backup of your recovery seed using a metal backup solution for long-term durability.

Step 5 — Add and manage assets

Once your wallet is created, use Trezor Suite® to add accounts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many other supported assets. You can receive, send, and exchange tokens inside the Suite with clear on-screen confirmations shown on your hardware device.
